I've taken to playing a game called "Uplink", a hacking simulation. Even with just a demo, I'm happy as a clam. Wish I could find a place to buy it though, the game is too awsome to pirate.

These past few days i have come to realize how deficient some people are in the mental capacity Dept. and also how americanized Canada has become.

There is a fellow who goes to my school, hangs out with a few people I know and in general exists. Lets call this fellow "Blake". I came into contact with "Blake" at the ThinkTank, a local computer store. The manager and blake were in a discussion about random junk, and... "kevin" started telling us about some dude on the internet. the dude takes pictures of underage girls, and rates them with a series of hearts on his website. i haven't ever seen kevin angry over anything before, and he was fucking pissed...

The only problem the cops are having, though, is that the guy technically hasn't done anything wrong. Morally, however... Stated simply, "people like that should be locked up for good."

At this point, Blake puts his two cents in... "Just give them the chair, It'll save us a few hundred in taxes."

I asked him if a human life was really worth any amount of money. As Ghandi had said: An eye for an eye, and the whole world goes blind.

I hope you have been well. With IPv6 sucking so badly, I'm worried that you're feeling the pain of it all.

I have decided to make myself a new computer. It will have an AMD Sempron or Athlon processor, ASUS M2N32 WS motherboard, Geforce 7900 GTX video card, 4GB DDR2 ram, an IDE 80gb HDD for OS space, 500gb SATA for storage and a custom made case. I'll be running a Fedora 7/Windows 2000/Mac OS 10 triple boot. HOPEFULLY OS 10 doesn't kill my BIOS, as *fellow nerd X* said may happen when he was over today. X seems to be a very intelligent person, and is quite the techie. His school thinks he's retarded, though, and blamed him for a bomb threat. Lawl.

I'm single now. Thats right, this pasty white teenager is available to the masses of women I know stalk me. My ex was, to say the least, nuts. Very emotional, the unstable type of "very emotional". She has no curiosity about the world, which would tend to hinder oneself in the journey away from ignorance. We didn't share any interests or hobbies, so i guess the relationship didn't have a chance from the start. She had a tendency to get drunk and sleep with other people too. Now, I'm not saying I don't have my flaws, but HOLLY SHIT. She had compared the other guy's and my wang size, and told me he is smaller and STILL better. ROFLMAO. So I ended it.

I've taken up World of Warcraft as a hobby, and have a level 12/13 human mage on Shattered Hand. That characters gone down the shitter though, TheThinkTank's account had expired. i'm getting my own account activated tomorrow though, but I'll have to reroll my mage. Maybe pick a different race this time...

My bike got stolen today. I guess I'm an unlucky person, but no shits have been given due to it's crappyness. I'll have to walk to school and work from now on though...

I'll hopefully be going paintballing with LinkXXI on Monday, if he's up to the task.

I've been using Linux since February. My experience with Linux started mid December, when I ordered a Kubuntu LiveCD from Canonical. Two months go by. I install Linux, and was one happy camper. A few weeks went by. Why was it that pain full? I switched to Fedora because Kubuntu was treating me like an idiot. Video card wasn't support, so i took it out. Hung out with gnome for a while, felt the interface was gimped, and switched back to KDE.

I'm only 16 minus a day, but I've been around the proverbial block a few times.

The only real trouble I've had is gaming. I have NWN, UT99, Tremulous etc... but I don't have Warcraft3 for my RTS fix. I'm screwed for MMOs also, because I cant get wine to run WOW. None of the good MMOs compile a Linux version either. And yes, I like Warcraft based games.

Insight:

I've found that people don't switch to Linux due to lack of games, and game developers don't port them to Linux due to lack of users. It's a vicious cycle, I'm glad Dell is helping to end it. [Dell ships with Ubuntu] This just in, Dell sucks alot less.

So for the past few months I've been music less, because the people who own the rights to the MP3 format are assholes and decided to have a fee to bundle support with your OS. The fee is one grand, and for a package to be bundled with any GPL OS (Linux), you have to have the source available and it has to be costless. I have an easy way to get MP3 support with fedora...

• Open the terminal
• Type in:

  su root

  Then your root password.
• Type in:

  yum install xmms

  and follow prompts on the command line... Then do the same for

  yum install xmms-mp3

Now you have MP3 support and a nifty little media player.

So i was talking to my girlfreind today... and for some reason she was talking about people screwing their own mothers(don't ask why, lol), and shows like jerry springer would broadcast it... I told her i thought jerry springer was complete crap, and she started getting all angry about me always arguing with her/ the fact that she can have her oppinions and i *can't* have mine(she actually said that too...)/ the shows aren't staged because they cant just hire the same actor to play the same person for future shows. But the film festival was tonight, so i assumed that tomorrow was a PA day, because late night events(past 9:30-ish) are usually held when the kids don't have to go to school the next day.

Speaking of kids, i hate the little fuckers. back in the day, you had a healthy respect for adults and in general people who were older than you. Nowadays, they're picking fights with people who are a foot+ taller or have a few kilos more on them to make themselves seem tough. Fedora Woes...

My website's down right now. Going a little stir crazy. No server. Code withdrawl. It's really cold for some reason.

All because i cant get fedora working right. Cant even access it, Twey thinks that he problem is in my xorg.conf file, and the detected settings are too high for my monitor. Which brings me back to the problem. Install went without a hitch, im booting up and then... an "Input Not Supported" message pops up. Cant edit xorg.conf, cant mount my main partition to a directory... ill try nano/vim once i reboot, right now im working off a kubuntu liveCD. What the Hell Microsoft?? The only things you have done correctly as of late pertains to the 360. I am a web designer, and it really pisses me off how I bust my ass creating valid CSS2 and XHTML1.1 and your Shit piece of software you push on everyone cant display XHTML at all, and is very limiting for css. The only things i ask on you is to have XHTML display errors in the document as XML, and to have it displayed as W3 requires. W3 is the foremost authority on web applications, it would be best to display their markup languages correctly.
