Food, delicious scrumptious food

Tonight, (the 28th that is, I don't have Internet access as I write this) I was rooting around in my fridge looking for a morsel I could wrap my tongue around and really enjoy. So I see a 2 litre pop bottle, noname and pink, and I think to myself "Oh hey, creme soda, just what my fucking tongue ordered." So I pull out what I'd assumed would have been my ticket to the gustatory equivalent of LSD, and I read the label to find... cranberry soda.

It can't be _that_ bad, I'm thinking to myself. And hey, I'll try anything once.

Lo and behold, It was. Bad, that is.

Deciding that real fruit might be the answer, I took a banana on the verge of browning, crushed it up, and mixed in some sugar. I recommend this, it's like a milkshake without the milk and other fruit. And you eat it with a spoon.

Oh, what a wonderful classmate I've found myself. LadyK and I had to bake something(not ourselves) for a project on culture, so I decided that cheese blintzes would be a great thing to make. basically, you take cottage, grated cheese and an egg, mix it up, wrap it in a crepe and cover that with more grated cheese, then put it in the oven until it's all melty and the egg has cooked.(About an hour at 350F I think.) Served with sour creme or powdered sugar, it's the ultimate temptation for those special unmutated lactose intolerants.

So we had to create a board to show off whatever culture we picked our food from, and I mentioned to LadyK that my grandfather hailed from the Lithuanian Aukstaitija(Highlands) and the blintzes are served regularly in a couple Jewish holidays. Terribly, she only heard the last half, and proceeded to look up and amalgamate what she heard we were doing it on... Much to my dismay, we ended up with a presentation that had very little to do with my heritage.

We should have done the project on Ireland, her genealogy, and brought in "Dried leprechaun." Hopefully none of the teachers would have taken a bite of our green stuff. Might get our stand shut down and us put out.

(PS that's weed I'm talking about. The "Pot of gold" is just "Pot", and the end of the rainbow is the beginning of the next.)

On another unrelated note, I ended up doing another seminar today, quite literally I failed. Epistemology is hard.

Flying high, (but grounded firmly in reality)

FAKE PS:

Once I get some steady cash flowing into my pocket, I'm probably going to blow it on something frivolous like a KillerNIC, so I can use it to torrent while the rest of my comp is off, and have a small webserver up so i can put this shitstain of a blog onto it.

I'd change the colors too. And pick up this trash. Damn kids, with their parties! GET OFF MY LAWN DAMMIT.

G5 Mouse

I never really realized how wimpy mice were, until I decided to pick up a G5.

With this mouse, you can change the dpi (on the fly), weight, customize the buttons based on what exe is running... It's not like that would be hard to implement for any other mouse, but the standard drivers do it nicely.

I mean really, I want to FEEL something when I use a mouse, ball mice were nice in that respect. But only that, they sucked overall. Oh, getting nostalgic for the 90's again. I remember one time I tried to have an imaginary friend, and we were playing tag on a fine sunny day. I felt pretty stupid running around the street all by myself, I had thought they appeared or something when you started to pretend they exist. I think that's the first time I was ever disappointed. This other time my friends and I found a hole for a fence post, so we put some sod and leaves over it to make a booby trap. When we went to check on it the next day, Ben had tripped... It took me a few moments to realize that he was thigh deep in our trap. I've always really liked high places, I guess it started when I used the radio antenna tower to get onto my next door neighbour's house. It was only a bungalow, but when you're only 3 feet tall you think everything is enormous. Being five fucking rocked.

What I think

I think of time as a function, and following the rules of a function, you can only slow down or speed up it's passage. Imagine you took a sine wave (x being your view of time, the length of the wave being the time experienced by a stationary object that had no gravity acting on it.) You could only increase or decrease the frequency/speed up or slow down your passage of time compared to the objects.

If anyone sees any holes in my hypothesis, feel free to point them out.

I have a fairly weird way of thinking of things...

I take a kindergarten approach to morality.

I treat others the way I want to be treated, unless they treat me badly first.

Sort of a menacing kindergartner stance... As posted on 99chan,

Fuck you Blake.

Blake. Lifebane. Dark One. That monster that's been damned to the shadows from birth, that vile sludge that feeds from the dirt on the boots of civilization, the thing whose presence is heralded by an overcast sky, lightning, hailstones, poisoned waters and swarms of locusts, the almost-human who's caress turns brain matter liquid, who's bile sears hot and freezes your entirety at a touch, the creation that sunders social ties, crumbles society, reshapes everything close to it into twisted masses of flesh, writhing, tearing, mawed, eyed, skinless and raw.

Damn that little bitch,

Recomended Book List

There comes a time in every persons life where they have to slow down, fill a pipe with some fresh tabac, and settle down in front of the fireplace with a good book. It just so happens that I have several series that I think you might enjoy.

Recomended TV show List

Some days you have to settle into your lazyboy, glass of brandy in hand with some smooth jazz playing in the background, turn on your 82 inch super thin television and just watch...

  • Scrubs Very good TV show. Plenty of visual gags, irony, mischief, janitorial conflict and it's really really funny. At Sacred Heart Hospital, JD (Zach Braff as John Michael Dorian) and Turk (Donald Faison as Christopher Duncan Turk) are hired after graduating a medical college together, along with Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke) as a neurotic, on again off again girlfriend to JD as well as colleague.
  • Stargate: SG1 staring Richard Dean Anderson
  • MacGyver staring Richard Dean Anderson

asdf

Internet, I have terrible news.

For my business technology class, I expected to learn things like the mechanics behind ATMs, inflation, stocks, how currency is actually valued (You can't exchange it for gold anymore.), touchtyping...

What I did not expect, however, was how to be a good secretary. The current course details the wonderfull use of MS Word, Excell, Powerpoint and the really interesting part: EXCHANGE!!! Oh god, this is awesome. In 25 years when MS is out of business and I'm running a small ISP, It will be so usefull to know how I can log in to an exchange server (The fact that I'd be running linux servers notwithstanding). Or make all my wordy things on the 'puter real nice and boldy like. It'll be SPECTACULAR knowing I spent 1:15 every day, 5 days a week for 5 months learning something that will be useless and outdated by the time I finished college. Wonderfull. FUCKING WONDERFULL.

Needless to say, I'm dropping the course, there is no way am I spending wasting an accumulated 125 hours on anything I'll never use.

In other news, I've been feeling like crap for the past week. I hope I feel better soon, I've missed more classes than I like.

BASIC is easy, I finished about 3 days of work in 1, so I think I'm set for that course. I like this year's english course better aswell.
